About the speaker:
Dr. Dong Qun is a well-known research expert in religious ethics in China. He is currently serving the School of Humanities of Southeast University as a full-time teacher, professor and doctoral supervisor. Besides, he is also serving Jinling Library as Curator concurrently and a distinguished expert in religious work of the State Administration of Religious Affairs. His professional researchescover Chinese Buddhism, religious ethics and Chinese philosophy. Professor Dong Qun has once published diversified independent works on Across the Strait focusing on Buddhism and religious ethics, including the translations of Buddhist classics of Hokkekyo, Unwritten Essence of Dharma, Leisurely-paced Record, Translation of the Origin of Humanity,Chan Master’s Deep Meditation, Zen Ethics, Integrated Buddhism, Hui Neng and Chinese Culture, Zen and Innovation, China's General History of Three Shastra Sect, Buddhist Ethics and Chinese Zen (individual proceedings), Chinese Buddhism Encyclopedia· Figuresand and Chinese Buddhism Encyclopedia· History (co-author). Recently, he has just completed the book titled “Research on Chinese Buddhist Ethics”.
