报告人简介:迈克尔·比尼(Michael Beaney)是英国约克大学哲学系教授,本科、硕士和博士都就读于牛津大学,1990年获哲学博士学位。曾在英国开放大学、曼彻斯特大学、利兹大学、伯明翰大学、谢菲尔德大学和伦敦大学的博贝克学院工作,现为北京大学的客座教授。精通英语、德语和法语,会讲西班牙语、意大利语、拉丁语和普通话。主要从事语言哲学、分析哲学、逻辑学和美学等研究。著作有imagination and creativity(2005)和Frege: Making Sense(1996)。编著有The Oxford Handbook of the History of Analytic Philosophy(2012); Explaining the Mental: Naturalist and Non-Naturalist Approaches to Mental Acts and Processes(2007);The Analytic Turn: Analysis in Early Analytic Philosophy and Phenomenology(2007);Gottlob Frege: Critical Assessments of Leading Philosophy(2005); The Frege Reader(1997)等。担任国际刊物British Journal for the History of Philosophy的编辑、Series on the History of Analytic Philosophy的主编;Journal for the History of Analytic Philosophy的顾问和the Journal of Bertrand Russell Studies,Linguistic and Philosophical Investigations, Review of Contemporary Philosophy, Analysis and Metaphysics等杂志的编委。

This talk will discuss certain conceptions of creativity, which Prof. M. Beaney then illustrate and explore in relation to the work of Gottlob Frege, who created modern logic and is one of the founders of analytic philosophy. This talk based on a series researches and essays which Prof. M. Beaney engaged to the conceptions of creativity.
